Smart City Project Competition: Induction Trip

Two groups of Form 3 students who have passed the first round selection of the Smart City Project Competition, organized by the Education Bureau, were invited to join a 2-day induction trip to Guangzhou. Students visited an organic farm and a power plant which generates electricity by incinerating waste collected in the city. From the visit, they got a chance to know more about how enterprises can operate in an environmental friendly and sustainable way.

Students were having a chat with a staff member at the organic farm in order to know more about their operation.
Students were trying to find out more about local students' daily life during a school visit.
Students were amazed when they were visiting the control room of the power plant and watched live feeds of the incinerators.
Students were listening to an introduction of the design of the power plant.
Students also knew more about modern China's development at the visit to the Peasant Worker Museum.
