15 students from Form 1 to Form 3 went on a 5-day study tour to Hai Nan, the southernmost province of China, to explore "the opportunities and challenges of youths under the Belt and Road Initiative". In the tour, we were able to get an in-depth understanding about Hai Nan's development as a free trade zone by visiting the Planning Exhibition Hall, Hai Nan Province Museum, the permanent venue of Boao Forum for Asia and other tourist spots in Haikou and Sanya, the two major cities in Hai Nan Province. Our students and teachers also challenged to climb to the top of the Leiqiong Geopark, which is an extinct volcano at 222 meters tall. From the experience of tourism development of Hai Nan, students could understand more about how our neighbours are developing and reflect on what Hong Kong can do in future.
