To promote cross-curricular learning, the English Department collaborated with the Science Team to organize an interesting event for students. On 21/09/2023, students were invited to the Biotech-lab make the horseshoe crab origami with Dr. Chan. While making the origami, Dr. Chan also introduced horseshoe crabs to students. This creature has existed in the world for more than 400 million years and its blood is important for medical use. Dr. Chan also shared her experience of wildlife protection when working at a university. Overall, students learnt English words and the importance of protecting endangered animal species. What a great learning experience!
