Inter-class Aerospace Competition (2018-03-16)

The Inter-class Aerospace Competition was held on 16 April 2018. Participants from each class needed to attend a briefing session before the event to learn the rules, so as they would come up with their own winning stretegy. All students took this competition seriously and enjoyed the event on that day very much. Classes 1B, 2B and 3B became the champion of each form finally.

IEEE Electronic Endeavor Match 2018

IEEE Electronic Endeavor Match 2018 was held on 7 April 2018. The Competition is organized by The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. It aims at providing local primary and secondary students with the opportunity to participanting in the lastest technology. Our students gained a valuable experience during the activity.

Creativity Fortnight – Geography & History Department

During the Creativity Fortnight, the Geography and History Department have jointly brought a full-of-fun lunchtime activity to our students. In the activity, students took part in the DIY Seismograph Workshop in the Geography room. They also learnt more about the background information of the seismograph in the reading session. All in all, students had great fun in the activity.

Students are excited to make their own seismograph.

Dialogue in the Dark

A visit to Dialogue in the Dark (DiD) was held to provide students with a better understanding of the difficulties of the visually impaired.

22 students joined the visit to experience the difficulties of the visually impaired.

Hong Kong Schools Mooting and Mock Trial Competition 2017/18

Hong Kong Schools Mooting and Mock Trial Competition was held from Oct 2017 to Mar 2018. The Competition is organized by the Hong Kong Schools Mooting and Mock Trial Association. It aims at providing local secondary students with the opportunity to receive legal education and conduct advocacy. Our students gained a valuable experience during the activity.

Students enjoyed this competition very much.

Ning Bo Exchange Tour 2018

25 students from Star Program and various school teams joined a 4-day exchange tour to Ning Bo during Easter holiday. They visited Ning Bo No. 15 Middle School, our sister school, and shared their experience in different competitions with students in Ning Bo. In return, our teachers and students were treated a wonderful cultural performance, including singing, dancing, instrument solo and Chinese opera, prepared by the host students. Our students also gained new exposure by sitting in the Chinese and Music lessons there.

Our students and teachers are warmly welcomed by the host at the school entrance.

HKFYG STEM Promotion Talk - Forensic Science

A seminar about 'Forensic Science' was held on 20 March 2018 for all S2 students and science school team members. Ms. Jessica Chan from HKFYG provided a meaningful and interesting introduction to all students.

Vice-principal Ms. Lau Pik Shan presented a souvenir to Ms. Jessica Chan.

CGC Visit (the University of Hong Kong)

As part of students' Other Learning Experiences (OLE), the Careers Guidance Committee has organized a school visit to the University of Hong Kong. We believe it is important for students to get exposure to different further study pathways as much as possible in order to be well-prepared for their future. A micro-teaching activity which is conducted by the teacher-students from the Faculty of Education is given to our students. The theme of the activity is 'Career Planning'.
