A visit to the Aviation Education Path at the Civil Aviation Department (2025-03-10)

In order to introduce students to the aviation industry, 19 students took part in the visit to the Aviation Education Path at the Civil Aviation Department.

During the workplace visit, students gained valuable insights into the responsibilities and roles within aviation management. The visit was an enriching experience that helped students understand the multifaceted nature of aviation management and the crucial roles that different components play in the industry. They learned about the critical functions of air traffic control towers, including the importance of communication and coordination in managing air traffic safely. A highlight of the visit was watching aircraft take off. Observing the takeoff sequences allowed students to understand that planes need to take off into the wind for optimal performance during aviation operations. This practical observation reinforced their theoretical knowledge about flight dynamics. Additionally, the tour included an exploration of the history and development of Hong Kong International Airport.

In general, the visit was a huge success.
