Local Tour @ Sham Shui Po

Some of our S2 students recently joined an enlightening local tour of Sham Shui Po, a historic hub for the working class that showcases the essence of Hong Kong. Despite the city’s rapid changes, Sham Shui Po remains vibrant, featuring bustling open markets, resilient pre-war buildings, and rich community life.

Throughout the tour, we explored the area’s unique culture, witnessing how countless individuals have sought refuge here, creating a melting pot of traditions. Our students engaged with the stories of local traders and learned about the tenacity and energy of the grassroots community. This experience deepened our understanding of Sham Shui Po's history and its significance in Hong Kong.
