A Mai Po Wetland Education Programme was organized by MCNEC on 6 July, 2017.
This Programme was held by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), which aimed to develop students' positive attitude towards the environment. They also learnt the importance of wetland management from the field work experience.
As one of the winners of the Inter-school Cross-curricular Project Competition on Climate Change 2016/17, a group of 1 teacher and 6 students from Class 2A were invited to join a study tour about climte change to Qingdao, Jinan and Tai'an from 2 July, 2017 - 6 July, 2017. Through the field trips and the visits to The Ocean University of China and its affiliated secondary school, students were able to learn more about the global warming and its effects on Earth.
Between 1 July and 5 July 2017,15 students and 3 teachers went on a 5-day Culture and Technology Study Tour to Kansai, Japan.
2P students and Liberal Studies Team members participated in an educational talk organized by Chinese History Department and Lieral Studies Department. The talk was given by Mr. Gong and Ms. Sui, the representatives from the Commissioner's Office of China's Foreign Ministry in the Hong Kong S.A.R.. The content of the talk was about the introduction of diplomacy, the nature of China's diplomacy and the functions of the Commissioner's Office of China's Foreign Ministry in the Hong Kong S.A.R..
A group of 3 teachers and 15 students who are the Handbell and Chinese Orchestra Team members went for a meaningful study trip in Ningbo, China from 28 June, 2017 - 1 July, 2017. Not only participating in lessons in a secondary school in China, students also had a music performance to show their talents. They all had a wonderful experience in Ningbo.
The 2016/2017 Alumni, Teachers and Students Dodgeball Games and Board Games was held to maintain and promote unity and fellowship among the graduates, teachers and current students. The activity was held in the school hall and Geography Room. The participants enjoyed the friendly competition very much.
The 2016/2017 Alumni, Teachers and Students Soccer Game was held to maintain and promote unity and fellowship among the graduates, teachers and current students. The activity was held at the football pitch of Sycamore Playground, Tai Kok Tsui. More than 40 football players took part and they enjoyed the chance to compete against each other in the friendly match.
Two students joined the Computer Science Challenge 2017 on 20 May, 2017.
