11th Sham Shui Po District Outstanding Students' Award Ceremony

The Outstanding Student Award is one of the most recognized awards for secondary schools in Hong Kong. Our students had great opportunities to take part in the competition in last academic year. And it finally comes to the exciting moments to announce the winners. Leung Hiu Tung and Chan Lun Siu attended the 11th Sham Shui Po District Outstanding Students' Award Ceremony on 7th September, 2019.

Chan Lun Siu received the award of Commendable Student (Junior Section).

2019-2020 School Opening Ceremony

The 2019-2020 School Opening Ceremony was held in the school hall on 2 September, 2019. Our Principal, Mr. Wong Chung Ki, delivered a welcoming address at the ceremony. On behalf of the school and all the staff, he gave a warm welcome to all students.

S.1 Orientation and Parents' Day

The S.1 Orientation and Parents' Day was held on 25th August, 2019. The aim of the Orientation Day was to build up a mutual relationship between class teachers and students in order to help the new students adapt to the new secondary school life. In addition, parents could get a general idea about the school policy, academic requirements, extra-curricular activities and other related issues in this academic year.

Po Leung Kuk Flag Day

The Po Leung Kuk Flag Day was held on 28 August, 2019 (Wednesday). Parents and students were invited to take part in this meaningful fund-raising event. Donations will be used for Po Leung Kuk educational and social welfare services. Participating in flag selling provides a good opportunity for our students to take part in community services.

Study Tour of Cultural Heritage & Technology in England

This July, our School joined PLK Stanley Ho Sau Nan Primary School on a study tour to England, where students learnt about historical and cultural heritage, as well as development in science and technology in the country. During the 13-day tour, secondary and primary students worked in groups on a specific topic and learnt from each other. Apart from a 4-day English language course, students visited various museums, such as The British Museum, The Royal Observatory Greenwich, The Science Museum London and The National Gallery.

New friends are made in the language course.

5-Day STEM Summer Programme for Gifted Students

In order to extend the learning of gifted students in science and technology beyond the regular classrooms, our STEM subjects (Science, Computer Literacy and Design and Technology) have jointly organized a 5-Day Summer Programme for school team members, with "Smart City: Environmental Protection" as the theme. We were grateful to have Clean Air Network, an NGO that concerns about air pollution, providing us with a fruitful workshop on measuring pollutants in air. Under the guidance of Professor W.H.

STEM@Book Fair 2019

Our school joined the STEM exhibition event at the Hong Kong Book Fair 2019. Various STEM projects from different subjects were displayed. Students brought their smart series (D&T STEM project) to participate in the STEM PLUS competition, and won the 'Technology Award'.

Final of Pan-Asia Pacific International Mathematics Invitation Competition 2019 in Xi An

Our students Chan Ching Nam (F.3), Tang Sai Man (F.3) got the Silver Award and Ting Ho Kam (F.1), Lee Chun Hin(F.2) got the Merit award. This year, only 100 F.1 to F.3 Hong Kong students can get into the final of this competition and we appreciate their achievements. After the competition, our students have participated in various STEAM-related site visits.

Chan Ching Nam (F.3),Tang Sai Man (F.3) got the Silver Award and they are holding the flag of HKSAR.

Hong Kong Mathematical Games Open

This competition covers all types of math games and is classified into four categories: image reasoning, block placement, numerical reasoning, and regional segmentation.
The competition includes three different categories of math games, in order to comprehensively assess the reasoning and thinking skills of all aspects of the students.

The two students compete with each other to win the game.
