Maker Fortnight and Maker Festival : Maths Club

As the Maker Festival was held on 18 March 2023, Maths club prepared two activities - Rubik's Cube Competition and Fun with 3D model making, for the students. To make sure students understand the rules of the Rubik's Cube Competition, a workshop was held in the Lecture Theatre. The representatives of each class participated in the workshop and enjoyed challenging their best time to prepare for their competition.

1st Term Exam Prize Presentation Ceremony

The 1st Term Exam Prize Presentation Ceremony was held on 14th March, 2023. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our outstanding students who have achieved top positions in their respective classes. In Secondary 1, we are proud to announce that the first position goes to 1B8 LAM YUI YING. In Secondary 2, the first position is awarded to 2A22 ZENG WEIJIE. And finally, in Secondary 3, we are honored to announce that the first position goes to WONG FEI FEI from 3B11.

3C2 FEI NGA HEI received the Subject Award in English Language.

The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Career Talk

In order to enrich students’ experience in career and life planning, our school invited two engineers from The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. Students were introduced the career path and duties of engineers. In general, students learned a lot and the feedback was positive.

We were very honoured to have the opportunity of inviting Ir. Stephen Leung as our guest speaker.

S1 Peer Counsellor Scheme (KTC Big Brother & Sister)

27 of our S1 students visited Vicwood KT Chong Sixth Form College on 27 February 2023. With the help of peer counselors from KTC, this activity aims to help our S1 students adapt to life in secondary school, enhance their team spirit, and familiarise themselves with both school campus environments. Our students enjoyed the afternoon playing different leadership games and were able to know more about secondary school life with the sharing of the peer counselors, which can help them be prepared for what the future holds.

Geography Maker Fortnight: Self-Watering Pot Plant

Geography's Self-Watering Pot Plant as part of Maker Fornight was held in Geography Room on 10th March. Students in this activity students explored capillary action and osmosis by making a simple recycled self-watering planter from a plastic water bottle and following the guidelines from the Geography Teacher. Ultimately, students successfully attempted to create their own watering pot plant and took their plants home after the activity.

Maker Fortnight: History Department

In March, a workshop titled 'Getting to Know Leonardo da Vinci' was held in the school hall for our students. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the famous artist and inventor by having them build a bridge with wooden sticks inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's ideas. Approximately 50 students participated in the workshop, which provided them with a fun and educational hands-on experience.

Visiting Sam Tung Uk Museum

Archeology Club organized the activity for the students in 3 March 2023. The theme of the learning activity was named "Tour of Sam Tung Uk Museum".

Constructed in 1786, Sam Tung Uk founded by the Chan clan in Tsuen Wan is a Hakka walled house of historical and heritage significance in Hong Kong. It became declared monument in 1981. Sam Tung Uk was converted into a museum in 1987.

Careers Guidance Committee - A Visit to Hong Kong Museum of Medical Science

In order to enrich students' experience in career and life planning, our students visited the Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences on 11th February, 2023. Students were introduced the history of medical development in Hong Kong, the plague and the usage of Chinese medicine. In general, students have learned a lot and the feedback was positive.

Life Planning Enrichment Program for S1 students

Life Planning Enrichment program was held in the first term. Most of the students could find out their interests in career path in their future throughout some interesting and vivid games and activities. Everyone was involved in it. this program could project their minds into their future likely jobs, like social workers, nurses or movie stars. Parents also got deeper understanding of their children in mindset and personal growth in relation to seeking their favour in their jobs.

Students had options to choose in their future.
