S2 & S3 Parents' Night

S2 & S3 Parents' Night was held on 18th September. In order to let parents know how their children adapt to the new school life under an anti-epidemic environment, colleagues from different committees like the academic, discipline, careers and information technology, have worked together to prepare for and explain the measures adopted in the new school year.

Epidemic prevention measures against COVID-19 are adopted. Visitors must wear masks, use alcohol-based hand rub and have their temperature taken before entering the school. A teacher is helping a visitor to take the temperature.

The S.1 Orientation and Parents' Day

The S.1 Orientation and Parents' Day was held on 30th August 2020. The aim of the Orientation Day was to build a mutual relationship between class teachers and students in order to help the new students adapt to the new secondary school life. In addition, parents could get a general idea about the school policy, academic requirements, extra-curricular activities, and other related issues in this academic year.

Our Vice Principal, Ms. Siu is giving a welcome address and introductory remarks.

The vote counting session of the 8th Parent Manager Election

The vote counting session of the 8th Parent Manager Election was conducted on 17th July. The results are as follows:

Overall number of ballots received: 658

Number of voided ballots: 30

Number of blank ballots: 156

Number of ballots obtained by the candidates:

1. Ms. Yeung Po Yan: 249

2. Ms. Ng Yeuk Lan: 223

Teachers were counting the ballots seriously.

CGC S3 Seminar on ‘SFC Admissions Procedures and Making Informed Choices in Subject Selection’ (Part 2)

In order to help our S3 students and parents know more about SFC Admissions Procedures, a CGC Seminar for Parents and Students on 'SFC Admissions Procedures and Making Informed Choices in Subject Selection' (Part 2) was held on 4 July, 2020. Mr. To from PLK Vicwood K.T. Chong Sixth Form College was invited to our school to have a sharing with our students and parents. Our Academic Mistress, Ms. Chiu and our chief Careers Mistress, Ms. Leung also gave some important information to S3 students and parents.

Healthy School Programme S1 Talk and Health Check

In order to help our S1 students understand more about the bad effects of drugs, S1 Talk and Health Check (part of Healthy School Programme) was held on 13 June, 2020. Students could understand more through the talk and health check.

CGC S3 Seminar on ‘SFC Admissions Procedures and Making Informed Choices in Subject Selection’ (Part 1)

In order to help our S3 students and parents understand more about how to make informed choices in subject selection, a CGC Seminar for Parents and Students on 'SFC Admissions Procedures and Making Informed Choices in Subject Selection' (Part 1) was held on 27 June, 2020. Henry Chan from Edveune was invited to our school to have a sharing with our students and parents. In the second part of the seminar, parents were divided into groups which class teacher could give more constructive advice to them.

Lunch with NET Program

The Lunch with NET program (English Corner Activity) of this academic year has come to an end with fruitful results. Throughout the 37 sessions at lunchtimes, native English-speaking tutors came to the College and had some chit-chat with our Forms 1 and 2 students. Our students had chances of using English in conversations, putting what they learned in lessons to use.

In order to help our S3 students and parents understand more about Senior Secondary Elective Subjects Selection, a CGC Seminar for Parents and Students on 'Senior Secondary Elective Subject Selection' was held on 13 June, 2020. Mr. To from PLK Vicwood K.T. Chong Sixth Form College and other elective subject teachers were invited to our school to have a sharing with our students and parents.

2nd Staff Development Day

The staff development day was held on 15 January 2020. Green Sense, a charitable institution came and conducted a workshop about 'DIY Lip Balm'. It helps raise the awareness on using cruelty-free products, i.e. no animal testing has been done. Teachers had fun in the activity.

Teachers are measuring ingredients for making the lip balm.
