School Events

New Era of the Design and Technology Department

Since our school embraces new technology and knowledge to provide our students with the aptitude skills and adaptability that will ensure they are capable of tackling and moulding tomorrow's world.

Students work individually or in teams to design, build and test robots, drawing on scientific curiosity and, for many, the love of gadgets and programming. There is scope to enter a number of robotics competitions.

S1 Discipline Training Day Camp

S1 students and class teachers participated in a Discipline Training Day Camp at JPC @ Pat Heung after the first term examination. Students attended a job simulation workshop to have a better understanding about the works of police force. Also, they played some adventure-based games which could help train their teamwork. Lastly, they had a valuable chance to try crate climbing, students climbed on top of crates to balance and got further from the ground with the help of their teammates. Students had an exciting and rewarding day.

Joint-school Professional Exchange Programme

A joint-school professional exchange programme was held on 16 January 2019. The principal and teachers from Madam Lau Kam Lung Secondary School of Miu Fat Buddhist Monastery were invited to participate in the programme. Ms Lam and Mr Yeung from both schools shared how gifted education was implemented in the school. After a refreshment session, a campus tour was arranged in order to let teachers know more about the facilities of PLKTNKJSC.

Green School Talk

To equip the students with the knowledge of protecting the environment, a Green School Talk was organized on 8 January for form one to three students. Ms. Carol Kwok of Consumers Acting for People and the Environment was invited to give a talk about the relationship between our consuming habits and the environment.

The whole school students needed to attend the talk to get equipped with more knowledge about environmental protection.

School Info Day

Our students have participated in the wall painting of our school for several years. The students finished the wall painting on the 2/F this year. During the campus tour on the School Info Day, our guest were invited to appreciate the wall painting of our school.

Green Christmas

Christmas Celebration was held on 21 December. In order to encourage students to protect our world while they are celebrating Christmas, Inter-class Green Christmas Competition was held on the same day. Students enjoyed the Christmas party with their class teachers. Meanwhile, they tried their best to reduce the rubbish by bringing their own tableware, wrapping gifts with recycled materials, etc. Prizes will be given to two classes which generate the lightest rubbish each form.

Sham Shui Po Youth Cup 5-a-side Football Competition 2018-19

Our football team participated in the Sham Shui Po Youth Cup 5-a-side Football Competition 2018-19. To let more players gain match experience, we have sent two teams to join the competition. After two closely contested matches, our Team B, mainly formed by Form 1 students, bowed out in the group stage. On the other hand, our Team A successfully qualified the knock-out stage. The team played further 3 matches, which all ended in a draw and needed spot-kicks to determine the winner.
