Learning and teaching arrangement of the new school year
The Education Bureau (EDB) announced on 3rd August that the school can commence the new school year in accordance with their originally scheduled date 1st September, however, in view of the severity of the epidemic, all face-to-face classes and on-campus activities will have to be suspended until further notice. In order to maintain the learning progress of the students, the school will make good use of online learning to arrange regular learning and lesson assignments via the e-learning platforms assigned by the school. Meanwhile, real-time Moxtra learning support will be arranged for students during the online learning period. Moreover, extensive reading materials and homework assignments will also be given to students via our e-learning platforms. In order to strengthen the learning support for our students, online tutorial and online homework support will be provided from Monday to Friday from 3:00p.m. to 4:30p.m. for students to help them to solve the problems found in the homework assignments. Meanwhile, online counselling support will be arranged for students as well. Class teachers will arrange a face-to-face online dialogue with students to emotionally support them and relieve their pressure cause by the pandemic during the suspension period. In addition, class teachers will observe students’ learning online to offer support to them as well. Please urge your child to do the online learning and submit the homework on time according to the learning schedule.
The Education Bureau (EDB) announced on 31st August that face-to-face classes will be resumed in two stages, S1 classes will resume on 23rd September, while S2 and S3 classes will resume on 29th September. Initially, the school will arrange half school day until further notice from EDB. For details, please refer to our school notice. Under the half school day arrangement, all on-campus activities will be suspended until whole day school is resumed.
In order to strengthen the learning support for our students under this half school day arrangement, extra online tutorial and online homework support will continue be provided during weekdays from 3:00pm to 4:30pm for students to help them to solve the problems found in the homework assignments. Another small-scale on-campus tutorial/remedial and on-campus gifted training will also be provided. Notice regarding the small-scale on-campus tutorial and gifted training will be sent to corresponding parents later.
